The very carefully crafted plastic connection between the lid and the case is incomparably more robust and torsion-resistant than a connection made of rigid aluminium profiles.

For secure mounting on a choice of Hepco&Becker top case carrier or even via adapter plate on third-party carriers (please purchase the carriers separately). Can only be used on a flat resting surface (e.g. tubular carriers)!
